Eclipse, Vol. 1: Joseph Wölfl

About Mattias Spee’s debut album:

There is more music in the world than one person could listen to in a lifetime and in the age of the smartphone, all of it is available to us at the press of a button. Sometimes, we don’t see the forest for the trees, which means that, sadly, a lot of fantastic music slips under our radar. In a three part series of albums, called “Eclipse”, Mattias Spee sheds light on music that is forgotten, but shouldn’t have been.

You can order the album here.

At the request of the Dutch National Music Instrument Foundation (NMF), musicians who play an instrument from the foundation‘s collection contributed to a new musical phenomenon: the Gratitude, a piece of music through which you show what you are thankful for. Below, you can watch Mattias’s contribution to the project. For an overview of all the Gratitudes, click here.
